May 16, 2024 - Atlanta will be the second stop for RedPADEL’s Circuit Season, hosted by pATL on the June 7-9 weekend.
Atlanta will have multiple divisions for men's and women’s entries. Finals matches will be held at a private house off the pATL court facility which will include a unique community experience and festive vibe.
The purse is set at $25,000 in prize money which will attract top end talent making this event one of the more lucrative U.S. padel events in 2024, says Andrew Herring, co-founder of pATL along with Kevin Ye.
“This has the ability to be one of the best events in the US from a talent perspective. I know there are other events that are close or equivalent to what we’re offering in prize money but I think this is probably one of the biggest purses that’s ever been offered in the US for a padel focused event,” Herring says. “The quality of play is going to be incredibly high and for people that have never been to a padel tournament before, they’re incredibly social.”
Herring says, the collaborative effort with RedPADEL for this event does help further its reach into different places, audiences and across different platforms.
“Being part of their national circuit was one thing we were enthusiastic about having seen it last year," Herring says. "The nice thing about a RedPADEL event, you get the top (players) but it also incentivizes some of the lower (division) players to come out and play and feel like they are a part of something – they also get to win something – and it creates a special feeling.”
Atlanta will mark the second stop on the 2024 circuit for RedPADEL and looks to be the biggest purse of the year. RedPADEL CEO, Charles Messow is excited about bringing high quality, high-stakes padel to pATL’s courts.
